Graceham Academy is a Montessori-inspired school in Amasaman, Ghana, dedicated to providing holistic, inclusive, and quality education from Crèche through Junior High School (Grade 9).
We believe every child has unique potential and our role is to nurture that potential by creating an environment where each child can explore, think creatively, develop confidence, and grow into responsible leaders and lifelong learners.
To ensure that quality education is accessible, inclusive, and impactful for every child.
We use the Montessori approach to support early childhood development, fostering curiosity, independence, creativity, self-discovery, and a love of learning, drawing on the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) methodology.
Through school gardens, food systems education, climate awareness, and practical sustainability initiatives, our students learn to understand and respond to the challenges affecting their communities and the wider world.
We prepare our students to participate confidently in an increasingly global world. Our programmes provide opportunities to develop foreign-language skills in French and German, strengthen digital literacy through partnerships and initiatives such as WiDU Africa to develop our mini-ICT lab, and connect young people to global networks and opportunities.

Our academic departments: Pre-School, Primary School, and Junior High School.
Our Pre-School programme is child-centred and designed around the individual needs, abilities, and developmental stages of each child.
Our Primary School follows Ghana's Standards-Based Curriculum, providing students with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values they need for successful progression into Junior High School and beyond. We place particular emphasis on strong foundational skills, critical thinking, creativity, communication, problem-solving, and personal development.
Our Junior High School is a three-year programme aligned with the Ghana Education Service (GES) Common Core Programme (CCP). The programme builds on students' foundational knowledge while developing their critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and independent learning skills. Students are prepared for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and their transition to the next stage of their education.
Throughout the year, Graceham Academy develops and supports projects and programmes that extend learning beyond the traditional classroom. We work with local and global organisations across education, sustainability, climate action, food systems, digital learning, and community development to create meaningful opportunities for our students.
#SchoolFood4Future is an advocacy initiative focused on improving children's food literacy and encouraging a rethink of school meals. The programme introduces children to the importance of food, nutrition, sustainable food systems, and the role young people can play in shaping healthier and more sustainable communities.

EarthHaus is an upcoming community garden initiative designed to create a hands-on learning space where children and community members can explore food systems, gardening, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.
The project will provide opportunities for practical learning while strengthening the connection between education, community, food, and the environment.
